I made this chocolate dump cake when my daughter’s teacher announced that she will come in one hour to chat. I didn’t have any cake or snacks to offer to her, so I took out my emergency chocolate cake mix and quickly made this delicious chocolate concoction.
I had the cake in the oven in 5 minutes, what took the longest was pan preparation. The baking time gave me some time to tidy up my house. The easy chocolate cake was great, chat was OK. She was gone after another hour and I got a chance to breathe.
This chocolate dump cake is really super easy and it consists of four or five ingredients, depending on what you have in your cupboard. What you must have is a chocolate cake mix and a pudding. If you are missing one of those things, then below this super simple and quick chocolate dump cake recipe you will find one made from scratch.
Take a look for yourself, and if you like, you can time yourself and see if you will be faster than me. Also, I recommend lining the bottom of your baking pan with parchment paper. I didn’t and had a difficult time with unmolding the cake. All cake mixes are different, and some might be easy to unmold, some might stick, like mine did.

Invert the unmolded cake onto a cake rack to prevent the top from sinking. Since I didn't line my pan with parchment paper, I had a hard time taking the bottom off. Thankfully, it worked somehow and the cake was saved.

If you don’t have chocolate chips, you can skip them as well, they just
add more chocolate flavor to the cake.
